The Lea is a very industrialised river system and has had its course altered to suit the urban expansion.

I would like to use the samples collected to make ash glazes on porcelain tiles.The ash has a geographical component which should be expressed at high temperatures for example road dust has high metallic levels due to catalytic converters and traces of cadmium have been found in the bones of urban pigeons. I would like to catalogue/ map urban landscape using found materials.
